When does SF Match go live for Ophthalmology?

When is the final due date? I know sometime at the end of August?
Is that when letters of rec have to be in as well?

Thank you and good luck!

I believe goes "live" some time in June/early July. Most people submit apps by mid to late August. Like every thing else in life, the earlier the better. However, you have to balance applying early with the quality of your app. If you have a bomb ass ophtho rec letter in the making, delaying the application by a week or so can help you.

when can we see the sf match registry (where each school puts their interview dates up)?

After I registered today, I was able to create a spreadsheet with all the program info (including interview dates) by clicking "Program Directory" on the left menu bar, clicking the "Search" button without entering any search criteria, and then clicking the "Export to Excel" button.

I know today registration for SF match opens; but we don't need to do anything until the main deadline in September right??

Couple of questions for clarification:
1) There's a function to upload college transcript. However, we also have to mail in the college transcript as part of the package. Are we supposed to do both or just the snail mail?

2) Isn't the dean's letter mailed in separately by the medical school or not? I don't think it's distributed until October....

3) One of my LORs is from an August rotation meaning that it will not be ready until early-mid September. If everything is mailed in besides that letter before the due date, will the application still be considered complete? I heard this is a common thing done by other applicants.

Thanks! Good luck to everyone applying this year!

I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities.
1) When I was applying last cycle the only option we had was to snail mail the college transcript, uploading was not an option. If I was in your shoes, yes I'd do both.

2) The Dean's letter or MSPE IS mailed by the school. Release date for us was Oct 15th or something. Just keep reminding your school periodically that you are an ophtho applicant and it should work out just fine.

3)Without the LOR I do not think your application will be considered complete. That being said I don't think early to mid september is that late.
