When do I get the eligibility code after I signed up for the DAT

This will be my 1st time taking the DAT and I just signed up for the test yesterday morning. They sent me an email confirmation along with an ID number letting me know that my application has been processed and that they process application daily. Will I be receiving the code soon so I can schedule my test?

Be careful though, I registered, waited half a week, and never got an email.

Called them and they said it had been done after the first day but I just never got an email.

(It didn't go to my spam or anything either)




If it's been a day, go ahead and try to register for it, the code thing is just your DENTPIN.

for the first 4 letters of your last name, do I capitalize the first letter?

Your eligibility code is actually your DENTPIN number. It says in the email to wait 24 hours after receiving the confirmation email to schedule your exam date, but it doesn't hurt to go ahead and try scheduling it right away.

I tried but it didn't work. I got the confirmation email yesterday at 10.30 am.

Should I wait till monday??

No it's not, it's a specific confirmation number that you receive later after the first automatic ADA email..

So would you like to explain why an ADA rep told me the code was my DENTPIN, my email says my DENTPIN is required to register for the test, and it was what I used to register for my test?

yeah, I definitely used my DENTPIN as my "eligibility code" when registering for the DAT. I did it about a month ago, so unless they changed it in the past month, it should still be your DENTPIN.

You will get an email when you pay for the test, telling you that you have applied to take it.

You will then get an email saying it is processed and you have been approved.

OP: In case you are curious, you get a third email with another code once you pick a test date. You use this for stuff with Prometric, like a test date change.

Wouldn't you know, I did everything on a Thursday and was like, "wtf.. wheres my email..when can I schedule..?" But I got my email about 11:00am the following Tuesday. Then I think they say wait 24 hours after getting the email to actually schedule the test date.
