I'm sure this has been asked before, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

When do interviews start coming out? When should I start getting worried if I haven't received an interview?

Which schools do it early, which later?

To make it more confusing, it seems like everyone is on a different timeline. I've already scheduled my interview for one school, another school just sent me a secondary today, and 1 or 2 schools haven't sent me anything - even an email letting me know my application is complete - even though I was verified 6/26.

There's a search function for a reason. Moreover, you can get a school-specific answer by just looking at last year's application threads or posting in this year's threads.

well all medical schools are obviously in communication with each other and do everything exactly the same, so..


but seriously if you don't have interviews in January you should be worried.

Even January isn't all that bad. If you haven't gotten any interviews by March chances are you're gonna be reapplying. I got interviews into February and April (NYMC was really slow last year)

My school has been giving out interview invites for a couple of weeks now. I received most of my interview invites in August and September, with some trickling in through January.

Man, I can't believe invites are coming out so fast. I always thought the first ones come out in late August. How bad is it that I'll be complete around early September?

It really depends on the school. Some are fast. Some are very slow. This applies before and after the interview. You will learn over this next year to be very patient.

My first interview was in August. My last were in March. I even had an interview invite in April.

Relax. It's only July.

Texas schools start granting interviews in July, while OOS schools probably start in August.

I got my first invite August 22, my last February 28.
