Hi all,

In an effort to maintain some sense of sanity amidst an incredibly lackluster application cycle (aka no acceptances nor interviews to date). Does anyone know a ballpark month where interviews stopped being distributed?

Thanks!

Hard to say. It really depends on the school. UC Irvine for example just barely handed out half of their IIs. Other schools like NYU finished interviews last month.

As mentioned above, every school is different. Have you considered sending any update letters?

Moving to PA since this is a general question. OP, the answer will vary by schools. Some schools will be finishing soon, others may persist for a couple months longer. At this point, if you want to know about a specific school, I would consult the school's application thread in the school specific forums.

Let's be clear. Per AAMC traffic rules you have roughly one more month. All medical school. Schools must notify wait list, acceptance, rejection by March 15th. Almost all schools will finish with interviews by Feb. to ensure they hit that date. Many people still interview in Feb. and get in but the clock is ticking now.

The date is actually March 30th- or at least the school must issue enough acceptances to fill the entering class assuming everyone accepts. However, there are many schools that interview into March. These spots may be filling up already though, but good luck!

We have to have made enough offers to fill the available 1st year positions by traffic day. Most places have to offer twice the number of acceptances (at least) to account for wastage.
