I have a 504, balanced MCAT with 3.6 overall gpa and 3.45 sgpa. I've been told interview invite order goes high stats/URM/ mid level stats then low level stats. I know some of the DO schools that are currently sending invites to those with higher stats than mine, around 510 MCAT and higher gpa. Does anyone know when people with lower stats hear usually, is it around December/January?

I don't know who told you that was the order, but that is really bad advice to be hanging on to. Medical schools interview and accept people based on who they believe are the best applicants in general - which could be a combination of factors that they are looking for.

There is no way to tell you when you will be hearing with your stats because in honesty, your stats are average. Ergo, medical schools will send you interviews invites based on everything else in your application. Simply, there is no way to know.

EDIT: TRULY lower stat applicants won't hear until maybe late february, march, and early april.

Ok thank you! This is what my pre-med advisor told me, but I take everything they say with a grain of salt

This is school-specific and impossible to answer. You might get an II tomorrow or in March.

I’ve got incredibly low stats for my UG/Science but a very strong SMP GPA and upward trend. Average MCAT. I’ve got one II and one II hold to go along with two rejections and a few others I’m waiting to hear from. This whole thing is a mystery.

This is pretty false as has already been said. I am a low stat applicant

I have:
sub 3.0 GPAs
506 MCAT

I also have two interviews so far.
You have to play the game, this means applying BROAD.
where did you get interviews from? sorry just curious...i also have low stats

I have applied very broad just FYI, 1 interview and 1 hold so far. I was just wondering past on past trends about timing

My gpa's are the exact same as yours but have a 500 MCAT and got my first II and acceptance in August. I got 4 more II after that in September so there is no real pattern. I applied really broadly which is probably the best thing you can do if you can afford it.

I applied to about 30 DO and 10 MD, so similar to you; guess it's just the waiting game
