When do NYU students take their boards?

Dumb question, I know...

I've been admitted to the NYU class of 2011. My best friend is getting married in mid-April of my 2nd year in dental school. Can anyone out there tell me if I'll be able to make it to her wedding? Or will I have to be locked in a library somewhere studying?

Boards are taken before the start of your 3rd year..you need them to get into clinical

you will take your boards before sept 1st of 2009. That's the deadline. Gotta take them and pass them. most students study for them in july and august. You wont be studying for board mid-april, you will be too busy with all the other coursework you have. But it is entirely possible to have a life and be a dental student. cya around
