I researched over this a lot on google, but only things that I could find out was deadlines (most of schools even have different deadlines). Just wondered what SDN's trend is.

June 1st, first day AADSAS opens.

The application opens on June 1st of whatever year you're applying in. So basically anytime between June 1st and the deadline for the school you're looking at. Definitely the sooner the better, though!

Apply in June. July at the latest. When I say July I don't mean late July either, maybe July 15th would be a good submission deadline. Anything later and I'd say you begin to slowly reduce your chances for acceptance (assuming you have average stats).

You can still apply in August and be fine. My AADSAS mailing date (the date when schools receive my completed app) was early Sept. and I have 2 interviews so far. Most schools only collect apps in June and July and begin reviewing them in August.

You're right. I was just referring to the average applicant. My mailing date was August 3rd and I only received one invite so far. If my GPA were higher, or my ECs better, it probably wouldn't be a big deal. Assuming you have mediocre stats, I would apply in June or July because an August submission could put you at odds for a few schools.

June 1st, some schools are rolling but in those cases the earlier you submit an application the more likely they will look at it, also you can turn your application in June 1st and if you have not taken your dat it will reserve your spot or order your application was sent in.

You're right. They only compile starting June and don't reviewing them until late July/August. However, that doesn't mean there isn't a "line". Unless you have spectacular stats, the order your application would be reviewed will be more or less based on the day you submit. So while, yes, they don't even review until in August, but applying early makes sure that when they DO start to review, you'll be one of the first ones they look at.

I have cgpa 3.85 sgpa 3.92 i did not take dat yet, but my avg is about 20 aa and 23 pat. I think i have decent ECs (academic coordinator at KUSA, 1 year of pharmacy tech, 30 hours of shadowing, 1 year of hospice volunteer)

the reason i ask this is to decide when to take dat..

It takes 2 weeks after taking the DAT for schools to receive your scores. Depending on the school it may take another 2-3 weeks after receiving the scores to update their system and deem your application complete for review and forwarded to Adcom (assuming all other app materials are complete). Thus, the latest "early" date to take DAT would be in early July which means schools will receive your scores in mid July and your application will be ready to review in late July/early August. Taking it earlier won't make much of a difference. I think you're fine taking DAT in mid to late July (app is ready to review late Aug/early Sept) as this is still early for most schools.

Now some schools, such as Western, LECOM, Midwestern (the newer schools), try to run ahead of the big boys and start their review sometime in June so if you really want to be early at one of these schools, then you should take DAT a littler earlier.

usually you can apply on june 1st, since every year june 1st only everybody is applying.
