Generally at what point in the process do schools notify you about the financial aid you will/will not receive at their school? I am fortunate enough to have two acceptances and am having a terrible time deciding on which school to go to... Money is not the only factor in choosing a school obviously but knowing what the school's intentions for distributing loan and/or scholarship funds would factor into my choice.

Can I expect any information from the schools before April 15? Would it reflect poorly on me to contact the schools to ask about financial aid?

Thanks all!

Each school is different. OSU doesn't give you your financial aid package until after April 15th, while Tufts will give it to you before. It wouldn't hurt giving the financial aid department a call to see if you can get any more information. You should also search your school's website. Usually they have examples of financial aid packages that a typical student receives. Congrats on your acceptances!

Not sure which schools you are deciding between, but just to add to what Crazy Hippos has already said about OSU and Tufts, I know that Cornell gives out their financial aid packages before April 15th, but Penn does not give them out until after. Those are the only schools I know about for sure.
