I just submitted my primary yesterday (7/1) and I am pre-writing secondaries. I make my work schedule one month out and am planning my August schedule. Should I schedule myself to work more weekend shifts in early August in case they invite me for a week-day interview, or is that too early? Do schools typically interview on weekends? Thank you.

All of my interviews last cycle occurred on weekdays, not sure about how early they start to interview, but I submitted around October and got invites from the end of October up until late January, so it really is a crapshoot as to when you can expect to hear back.

Lol it really is a crapshoot. I submitted early June / verified in July and had my first interview the last week of August. Second / last interview was mid-November.

Do either of you know if you can be flexible about the dates? I will have school tuesday/thur and I'm an RN on a unit that is extremely busy after september so calling in really puts a strain on the other nurses and I would prefer to not do that if I had a choice.

Yes they let you choose your interview date.

Often times they will send you a calendar with specific dates that are available for your interview group and you get to pick a day. If the days they offer do not work for you then you just have to reach out (they usually include a way to contact them if you need to for this in invitation emails). If they are offering an interview to you then they will probably be willing to work with you to get a day that works on both ends.
