Haven't been on the board in awhile and haven't thought about the process in awhile since I'm in grad school for the time being. One question though: I had a friend recently tell me he was accepted to the University of Tenn, are acceptances usually handed out this early? It also just seem fishy to me considering I'm pretty sure he just took the MCAT in August, and he apparently managed to get his scores back, be interviewed and accepted in two months.

EDP's are handed out this early, regular decisions are usually on the 15th. Technically, they're not supposed to accept anyone until AFTER the 15th, but many schools interpret it as before, so they start handing them out on the 15th.

EDPers (Early Decision) would know by now. Regular Applicants won't find out until on or after Oct 15th (possibly with a few exceptions)

Thanks, I'm not gonna ask him about it or anything cause I'm just not that type. But I just didn't think things were sounding right...

I believe UK's EDP'ers were notified September 24. IU handed out EDP acceptances September 29-30.

Did you guys miss this part?

If he actually took the MCAT earlier and did EDP at Tennessee, then yeah, he might know. If he took the MCAT in August, he's BSing you.
