anyone know what the deadline is for completing FAFSA? While we are on the topic, how much work/how long does it take to get it all taken care of? I'm guessing I ought to get the ball rolling pretty soon, but the procrastinator in me wants to know exactly how much time I have left to blow off.

Based on the schools I've sent it to, it looks like March 1st to be fully considered for all of the grants and scholarships (free $$$). For the loans, it's usually sometime in the middle of April. It only takes about 45 minutes to fill out, assuming you have all the tax info on hand.

I thought that the deadline was different for each school 😕 Of course, the sooner you turn the FAFSA in, the better chance you have of getting some $. 🙂

That is only if the schools you are sending info to give out a limitted amount of $ and on a first come first serve basis. From the federal government you will only recieve loans for medical or grad school, and most likely will max out on all of them. It really doesnt matter if you send in FAFSA on the first day available or just before the deadline in most cases.
