I can't study consecutively to save my life. It's always so hard around finals b/c I'm extremely burnt out, distracted by application updates/status checks, and looking forward to what I want to be doing AFTER finals.

I can't wait for finals to be over b/c I have plans to read a book I recently bought, work on my scrapbook, go to an NFL game, and do holiday-related activities!!!

What are you all looking forward to after finals are over??

Finals? What are those?? ;-P

I don't have to battle finals, but right now, I'm attempting to battle the war-zone disaster area that is my apartment.
Key word being attempting. And yet, here I am, writing this...
 
I will be playing many video games. Especially the ones that came out last month that I have been super psyched for. I look forward to not having to read radiographs for a while. And seeing family/having time for them.
 
Since my siblings and I have grown up, there isn't much we want for xmas so my parents have decided to take us on vacation every Christmas instead of exchanging gifts. I love it!! We did it last year for the first time and it couldn't be any better. This year I'm going to St Kitts. Finally some warm weather!!! And i'm super excited to go look at all the wildlife in the jungle. I'm thinking about visiting the vet school there even though I didn't apply.
 
I'm hoping to have enough time between my last final on the 16th and my birthday on the 19th to clean my house, rearrange furniture and cook, so I can have a huge party for my 25th birthday.
 
I will be trying to become one with my bed for about four days. Followed by two days of playing with my dogs and then working at my vet place. All put with some holiday spirit...baking cookies, sitting by the fireplace. mmmmm
 
Going home to Florida! YEAH!!! Get to see my family 😍 and spend all day surfing at the beach!!😍😍😍
Can't freakin' wait!!
 
Looking forward to some time to do some volunteering. On a more exciting note, I have a disneyland trip planned with my sister, bf, and his sister who happens to be a friend. And lots of baking and being "attacked" by my parents' massive dog.

Some really good ones came out last month and it's been all I can do to wait until the semester is over before I get them. The new dragon age looks pretty fun and in L4D2 you can now kill zombies with frying pans. FRYING PANS.

I'll be not doing anything for a couple of weeks 😴 It's going to be great. I then need to find a better job with better money. I think I have something lined up for the next 6 months that isn't really animal related, but the money is too good to pass up.

L4D is one of my favorite games and we have L4D2. But it came out the weekend before thanksgiving when we had a series of tests to study for. And now there are finals. So I'll probably be playing at about 11 on Thurs morning 😀. We played the first part of the first chapter. Not only do they have frying pans, they have katanas, too. Melee weapons were a good improvement. if only I could play now instead of having to wait.
 
After finals (and my finals go until 12/22), I have a few days for the holidays... then Monday my winter classes start. Then once those end, I get three days off and the spring semester begins. I live with my family during the semester so I see enough of them. I'm either sleeping or going to ride my pony.
 
The semester ends on Thursday and that night I am going to a cookie party. I will be working at my seasonal job (the vet clinic) and hanging out with family😍 (we party just about every weekend). My sister😍 will be coming home from the Navy for a couple weeks so I will enjoy my time with her. Doing our normal Christmas traditions of decorating cookies and of course Christmas Eve at my Grandma's house. It will be one amazing but incredibly short break (it always seems to go by too fast). I'll pretty much take the week of finals off (for me, next week) and the following weekend, then get started on stuff for next quarter. I also plan to secure/find my first shadowing thing at a SA (possibly mixed) clinic before January, too.

Otherwise, lots of flash-card-making and reading and random stuff. Probably will watch a lot of movies too. 😴
 
🙂 Oh I'm looking forward to the end of this week! It's been a frustrating term!

My plans for post-finals: Clean my room!...I've completely neglected my household duties and my room for the past month. I've only done laundry twice O_O Then play with my dog lots, give him a bath, clip his feet and ears. Go have fun at a dog conformation show. Horseback ride (without feeling stressed about school). Visit with my sister while she is here from Alaska. Wash my car, haha. Read Gone With the Wind possibly (I have no idea why, but it sounds appealing). And work at my vet clinic.

(A lot of this depends on how quickly my dog recovers from his kennel cough 🙁 🙁 )
 
Tear apart all my biochem notes in glee once I am done that final on the 17th!! Ugh. I will keep the book unharmed for vet school later though.

Drive down from Boston to Virginia at my parents' house for winter break once all my finals are over with on the 22nd, with my boyfriend and kitty in tow. Then once I am home... relax for a few days, and have a fun Christmas with the family. Then I'll begin with shadowing a new vet a couple times a week and picking up my old shift volunteering at a farm about 10 hours a week. I also need to secure a couple letters of recommendation when I'm home.

Otherwise, lots of sleeping in, playing piano (none in my teeny apartment), composing music (my software is only on the computer at home! I miss it!), and enjoying not having to pay for my food. I'm sure this winter break will go by very quickly! Quite jealous of my boyfriend's winter break; he gets about a month and a half off (!!).
 
Sleep! Working with horses, reading, cleaning out my closet, my room, and my car, doing some interview preparation (in hopes that one of these schools will actually decide to interview me...), planning activities for the pre-vet club. Ahhhhh I can't wait! Unfortunately, a good friend of mine is moving overseas indefinitely the day before my last final, and I'm really sad that I won't get to spend much time with her right before she leaves 🙁
 
I will be trying to pick up more shifts at the SA clinic I work at, volunteering/shadowing at a LA/equine vet about an hour away at least once a week I hope, and cleaning. I might head up to ATL to see my best friend with her parents. I will be writing some christmas cards, wrapping lots of presents, and hanging out with the family a bunch, too. Hopefully I will get an interview and be able to stop stressing at some point during the christmas break
 
I'm going to read some of the many books I have bought, work at the clinic, try to get a job at another clinic exotics or 24 hr emergency/ internal specialist, ski a lot, and take my winter class.
 
Sleep! And hang out with family, eat real food instead of the cheap easy stuff I eat when I'm at school. But mostly sleep, read, veg out, and hang out with my pets 🙂
 
Oh, winter break. So close, yet so far.

I'll be working at the teaching hospital and picking up as many extra shifts as I can while I have the time to pad my bank account, playing with other people's dogs/cats/horses/pocket pets along with my own devilcat, turning my friends back into drinking buddies on occasion, catching up on movies and TV shows, reading, and sleeping to my heart's content.

Mmm.
 
Sleep. Work on finding an apartment and (hopefully) move. Pick up extra shifts to pay for spring classes. Take my advanced level test at work. Get to know my cats again. And sleep.
 
I want to curl up by the fire with a nice, long fantasy novel and a mug of hot chocolate. Then go running around in the snow with my dog, go get a Christmas tree, make gingerbread houses, visit my grandmother, and enjoy Christmas traditions with my family. After that, it's back to my thesis 🙂

I love L4D2! and also Fat Princess! Speaking of video games, this weekend my bf and I moved our furniture around so we now have both tv's in the same room along with all of our gaming systems so we can play diff things and still be next to each other lol

Besides video games i will be making gingerbread houses, reading, going to NHL games!!, going to the ICE display at the national harbor, watching movies and baking holiday goodies! also, still need to put the tree and wreath up!
 
I don't actually have finals, but I'm going back east in a week and will be going to the Penguins-Sabres game in Buffalo on Saturday the 19th and then the Packers-Steelers game in Pittsburgh on the 20th!!

Aaron Rodgers is so dreamy 😍 (but I hope Lamarr Woodley and James Harrison mutilate him still! :meanie: )
 
What am I going to do when finals are over?...nothing. I am going to CHILL out (or at least make an attempt to) for the first time in about two years. I want to hang out with some old friends before I leave for school (Ross in May if I get rejected from all US schools). Maybe go to a few movies (Sherlock Holmes!!!!), a few concerts, and I hope my dog is ready for some intense walks.
 
I plan on stuffing myself full of delicious foods 🙂 Along with frequent trips to the beach. Of course videogames and friends are on that list too 👍
 
I will be doing all sorts of nothing. And it will be awesome.
 
My finals end on the 18th! I fly out of Boston to South Carolina on the 22nd, drive to Disney on the 24th and stay till the 29th!!! I love Disney during the holidays. Come back to South Carolina on the 29th, go to Myrtle Beach New years eve and New Years Day, the go to Medevil Times...then help my parents move their stuff to Aiken South Carolina, and riding the horses, and reading and studying for the GRE's that I am taking at the end of January. This is a much need break and I cant wait!! No more Ecology!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
 
Finals end Thursday afternoon, which will be immediately followed by going out to a sushi buffet, sleeping, horseback riding and mojito night!

Friday is all day SNOWBOARDING. I am so excited!!!!

In the bigger scheme of things, I will also be working at the SA hospital I used to work at. Also pretty exciting because I miss working with small animals, doing venipunctures and the technical stuff vet techs do! 😀

I apologize for the excess of exclamation marks... this first finals week has been rough...!
 
I will sew. That's really it. In my last year of college, I have dedicated myself to learning how to cook and sew. It's a wierd goal, but I feel like I shouldn't leave college without it. Also, since I don't have any money, everyone I know is getting my hand-made gifts. They will have to deal with my beginner's touch 🙄.
 
My last final is next Thursday night, and I fly to Ohio at the butt crack of dawn the next day for my OSU interview. So with the stress of the interview (although I AM excited for it!), my break doesn't really start until Sunday the 20th when I return from Ohio. After that I am going to DC to visit some friends from undergrad, then I'll go home to NY to play with my pony for a few weeks! 😍
 
I'm really looking forward to being able to go to sleep without mentally planning out what I'm going to do the next day. Other than that, I'm going to be working and catching up on my reading. The last Codex Alera book came out a couple weeks ago and I'm super excited to read it. I have a bookshelf of other still-unread books calling my name, too. Will I sound too weird if I also mention that I plan on revisiting my childhood by attempting to watch the entire first season of Digimon? 😛

one of the best gifts ive ever gotten was a hand made scarf from my best friend. its SOOOO warm.

speakin of best gifts...the best gift ive gotten from a guy was "i love you" in a gel!!! (gel electrophoresis) amazingly awesome! it took him about 15 tries to get the lanes to match up haha

Since I have all three of my finals (gen chem, cell bio, and physics) within a 36 hour span, I will be hibernating for no fewer than 2 days. Possibly longer. During this time, I also plan to make excellent use of my new ice cream maker. 😀

mine are the same way snapcall, i had two today and 2 tomorrow...one at 8am and the other at 5:30pm. LONG DAY ahead. i have been hibernating for the last week studying for the biochem final alone. so tomorrow after my last final, i'm gonna go nuts!!!
 
I plan on entering a state of profound inebriation until December 28th, and quite possible will continue thereafter if I get some bad news...However, inebriation might continue if I get good news too!!! Yay for optimistic celebratory booze!
 
My chem final and one other final are on monday. Then I'm going home and chilling. I do have work the next day but the job I do does not take much brain power. Working for vet, volunteering at shelter, and working my paying job will all take place during winter break until the fun begins again Jan. 12😀

Going home to my husband, my dogs, my chinchillas, my friends, and even my job (they're letting me come work for a couple days so I actually get to be around live animals for a change).

Being under a foot of snow at -5 degrees really makes me realize how much a I love Georgia.

I'm going to pretend I have a normal life for a couple of weeks.

😱 You're brave! If I had to cram a 4th final into that 2-day span, my head would explode! Be sure to go have tons of fun to celebrate surviving such an ordeal.
 
yay!!! done with fall semester!!! I wanted to go out for ladies-drink-free night but no one wants to come with me. It's probably a good thing since I have to be at work early in the morning
 
i'm finished too bearby. just finished my last final at 8pm. it was 3 hours long. it was rough!!! so far i'm watching glee, eating pizza rolls, relaxin in my pjs!!!

I took my last one last night - but I'm on a quarter system, so I get done early. 🙂 Have two grades back already, too.
