I have three secondaries (Touro- Mare Island, Stanford, and Harvard) seemingly growing cold in the hands of the respective admissions committees. I have yet to hear anything (other than "yes, we received your application and letters of rec.") and I am going out of my mind.

I do have new clinical research experience which was not included on my original application. Would it be a good idea to send letters to those schools informing them of my latest accomplishments? If so, should I send it directly to the Directors of Admission? Via e-mail or snail-mail?

Any advice, encouragement, etc would be greatly appreciated.

As difficult as it might seem, just wait. That's all you can really do at this point, anyway. It's in the hands of the committees.

In my opinion, you should only send an update letter if you have something significant to write about. If you judge it to be significant, then call them up and ask them what their policy is on updates. Follow the procedure they recommend.

First of all, that is an odd combination of schools. Sorry. 🙂 How long have you been waiting? The length of time depends on my response. If it has been a few months, then I would definitely check with the schools. If it really hasn't been that long, then I would wait. You don't want to pester them. I think I would send them an update with your research experience either way. Also, I would let them know of your continued interest. I would send it snail to the Director of Admissions. I totally empathize with how you feel. Waiting is the worst feeling in the world. Hang in there. Good luck!:luck:
