When is the earliest you can apply for Podiatry schools?

I read this on the official website stating:

AACPMAS begins processing admission applications September 1st each year, for Fall admission the following year. Deadline Dates are as follows: For priority consideration April 1st of each year for the upcoming Fall admission. The final application deadline date is July 31st of each year for Fall admission of the same year.


I want to apply for the 2010 Fall Cycle, so is September of 2009 the earliest I can apply? I don't get what it means for "priority consideration" relating to the April 1st date ?

The application opens in September 2009. You can submit it anytime after it opens. That is the earliest you can apply. Applying before April 1st will give you a better chance of getting in. If you are planning on applying in September don't even worry about the April priority consideration.

When i did the application, which was last year, it began in September. The April date is more or less of an unofficial deadline for the cycle (the real deadline is the end of June or July, I forgot). If you were to fill it out in this past April, that would mean that you were trying for the 2009 cycle.

In conclusion, start and finish the application in September and you'll be one of the first to be interviewed.
