When is the ideal time to take the DAT?

First off, forgive me for asking a question that has undoubtedly been asked hundreds of times. I did use the search and was unable to find a suitable answer.
I will be applying next year, and I want to have my application complete as early as possible. In order to have everything completely finished and in the hands of schools by mid June, when would I need to have the DAT done by?

seeing it as you have over 300 posts, you definitely know about the importance of applying early. If the app goes out in June, then obviously you want to take it before June.
Here's what i would do in your situation. If i have time and have a good background, i would take it ASAP, before december comes around, that way if i mess up, i can take it before march and that means i can squeeze in 3 tries before June 1st. *knock on wood, hope you won't need that many tries.
Now if i am buys with school work, i would recommend doing it after christmas, so that i can have 1 week to study hardcore and rip it 🙂.
And if i am a procrastinator and is no in rush to study outside of school, i'll just write it before june 🙂

I appreciate the response. I cannot see myself taking the test before maybe April. I have o-chem 2 during spring semester, and I need/want to have that done before I take the test. If I scheduled the test towards the end of April, how long would it take for my results to make it to schools?

ADA told me that its between 2-4 weeks, and mine was sent within 3 weeks after my test day
