when is the time to apply to specialty??

I'm sure this has been asked, but just curious if anyone knows when is the best time to start applying for specialty programs? I am looking for specifics, like what month of 3rd year. Thanks alot.

Apply early. THe application service won't open until June, Request and tyoe applications, letters of rec., and write your personal statement by may/june. When the service opens in June/July, send your applications, and request your transcripts. (request 2 copies to be sent). Everything should be mail by August.
