and do you get to pick your day? or do they assign it?

i hate it when they assign it. 😛

i received word yesterday (oct 1st)...they had chosen a date for me, but i have to confirm it for it to be set in stone. they also give you the option of switching if necessary by the confirmation date. if you forget to confirm, you get cancelled automatically.

They assign it. If you have their secondary application with a password you'll get an interview invitation from them. They make decisions very quickly. I got their secondary application and password one day after they got my DAT scores. I think they like to see a very good biology score.

They sent me a secondary as well. They seem to like great DAT grades. I also have family who went there, or is going to dental school there. I heard it is a great school, so I hope I get in.

Snail mail to confirm interview date. I got the mail within 7 days of them receiving my secondary.

Just had 6 exams in two weeks. It's like every week is finals week here. After 3-4 weeks, you'd wish you could rather take a rectal exam than go through it all.

But you will learn to choke on one exam and throw up another, or whatever they say.

Hope to see you all at the new, state-of-art building next fall. You'll love it.

I graduated from Maryland. The experience was overall, excellent... but that's not to say that it won't leave a bitter taste in your mouth.

Regardless, the educational program is top-notch (especially with the new school that will be opening in less than a year). The city is a rough city, but its also got some good points to it as well...

When you interview, be relaxed, be concise,direct and confident in your answers. Most interviews are easy-paced and not too bad, but I've seen a few go astray when certain instructors pick up on BS...

Make sure to take some time to visit Baltimore's famous "block".... hehehe

Cool. I have family who graduated from dental school there or currently going there, and they all tell me great things about Maryland. Thanks for sharing with me your experience. Maryland is actually my first choice school and with all this feedback, Maryland is still and forever will be my first choice dental school. ^_^

I actually got their email over a week ago, but I've been so busy with other things, didn't look at the forms until today. It says in the email that you have to send them back the secondaries within a week. Does that mean I lost my chance now? 😡 It's already been over a week now 😕

It took them about 3 weeks after I sent my secondary in. I called on Tuesday to ask if they had recieved it and then on Friday I got my invite.

So that "one week" thing might just be wishful thinking on their part?
