when LOR's are needed

This is probably is stupid question. I'm wondering when letters of recommendation are needed during the application process. I plan to apply this coming June and need to know approximately when I will have to have all my letters ready. Do you send them during secondaries? Will I have time in the fall 04 classes to get letters? I have to plan my classes accordingly to get these letters.

get them asap and then just save them in your letter service your school should provide.

get them after teh class is done so that your profs wont forget you and can have more of a chance to writing something meaningful instead of something crappy.

I know when to get them. But I need to know when I NEED them. I suspect that I need them only for secondaries, but I need a confirmation.

Typically schools request LOR's when you complete their secondaries, yes.
