I graduated dental school last year, and I took the CRDTs exam. It wasn't so bad and I passed the first time, just preparing for it, finding patients with the right lesions, right perio, etc was the hard part. It was convenient because it was offered by my dental school, so all patients, instruments, study prep, mock exams were provided. That's also why I didn't take WREB (cause finding patients and flying them out to a place that would offer the WREB exam would have been an immense hassle). Now I'm working in Texas, which was my plan all along. But in the near future, I'd like to go back to Cali, which is where home is. But I sure as heck don't wanna take the WREB exam and go through all that misery again. So I have to either wait 5 years and do license by credentialing, or just hope that the California State Board will begin to accept CRDTS.

What do you guys think about all this? Does anyone have any insight about whether California will ever accept CRDTS for dentists? I read a JADA article that touched on this a few months ago, they said they are working on it or something, but nothing definite.

saw this is a few months old but not sure if you got an answer. But it looks like Starting 2017 California will accept ADEX, so maybe CRDTS will be soon too
