does that mean everyone who is a part of the batches up until that point does not have their applications viewed in order of batch number? I keep seeing people saying not to worry so much since certain schools wont even look at apps until late August, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I am not on any review committee but have learned by asking different schools and from already admitted dental students' experiences...every school have their own screening process....once the applications are complete (with secondaries) they are in the system according to their schools minimum requirements..and from there it will go to review committee and they will extend interview offers...so it make sense that they screen apps as soon as they receive it for minimum requirements.....but then actual committee sits down for review and i think at that point it may be just their own order of processing rather than when they have received it....now for example it's already end of august and review committee is meeting this week....applications submitted this week have to go through initial screening process for completion and other requirements ...but committee has already started looking at the apps that are already complete.

I think only admission committee can give you the best answer ...and possibility is, it might vary from school to school.

Thank you! Yeah, I'm just a little worried (SDN does this to you) since I was in 3rd batch, but just added USC yesterday lol. Not sure what batch that would make me, or if my batch number would even have an effect since the general consensus is that USC doesn't start reviewing til late.
