...what should you be trying to get out of the articles? For those of you who recommend reading these kinds of publications as prep for VR, what exactly do you believe the "goal" should be? I know a lot of people don't agree with this method becuase you aren't asked questions at the end of each article like the MCAT does, so would you be reading mainly to practice comprehension strategies? Or simply to just get used to reading these types of passages? Thanks!

Someone told me that if you read articles, that try to write down the main idea, scope of the article. This will help for VR practice so you get in the habit of noticing the main idea.
 
I only suggest reading periodicals when one is far from their targeted test date. Doing it within three months of taking the test is a waste. Anyway, as the previous poster mentioned, try to grasp the main idea and scope of every article.
