I got a letter of recommendation from an osteopathic physician. Is this supposed to be sent with:

A) The composite letter of recommendation that my school's pre-med committee put together?

B) My secondary applications to osteopathic schools?

I'll take: C) - All of the above.

After you get the secondaries from the schools you are applying to, they will tell you where to send the LORS. Then you just have to arrange to have them sent (via envelopes you provide to the writer, a school letter service, or Interfolio, etc.) The letters can be sent independently, or together - the school will have a file on you all this stuff goes in. Most schools won't evaulate you until your file is complete. That's why it's important to already have the letters lined up by the time the secondary is complete so you're not held up waiting for someone to finish them.

Yea, I had the same dilemma, my premed advisor wants it for the composite letter, but I feel like it might have more impact to seperate the DO letter from the rest of the LORs. This is further complicated since I am applying to both MD and DO schools.

You are free to send it seperately if you wish. I did this with one DO letter since the LOR was an alumni of the school and it came later than my other LORs. I asked the admissions office to use the aulmni DO letter when reviewing my application since they now had 2 DO letters for my application.
