when should i notify my schools that im retaking the dat?

i've been looking at previous threads and the consensus is to notify my schools that im retaking the dat (Im retaking the dat in july 3rd) otherwise they will just base my application off my first DAT score. i submitted my application today and i was wondering when i should notify them im retaking the dat. i figured if i notified them right now, it would be pointless because they would not have my applicaiton on file as it takes 3-6 weeks for them to receive it.

i did..

however for certain schools they won't wait for your retake even when you put it down?

in michigan's website, they say "We are unable to hold or delay any application should you decide to retake the DAT".

It is presumed that you intent is to stop the world from spinning on it's axis until the new scores are delivered. Is there a guarantee that on the next go round you will blow it out of the park?

yes i do believe so. my PAT score was a 16 before and I believe I can score much higher.
