when should i send my DAT scores?

Hey! I looked at previous posts but nothing is very clear as far as sending DAT scores. I took my exam in July '08 but didn't apply in that cycle, but in this one. I talked to 2 of the schools I sent my scores at that time and none of them is sure. They were more confused then I was. So should I send the scores again to those 5 schools too (it's an expense I would have liked to avoid)? How about the other schools? Should I send the scores after the application is sent? Should I send the scores after the application is received? Can I send them now since it takes about 3 weeks for them to get there anyway? Thank you!

It depends on the school. I took the DAT in December 2008 and I had the same question. I also called up the schools and, to my surprise, they said different things. I created a topic for that: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=605278

It takes about three weeks for ADA to send out your scores after you have requested them to do so. If you send them out now, then beginning of June the schools should receive the scores. However, based on answer for q 1), some schools will dump your scores if they have not yet received the AADSAS application. To be on the safe side and save some trouble, I would suggest first submitting the AADSAS application, waiting a week and only then requesting the DAT scores to be sent to schools. It takes AADSAS about a month to process the transcripts after you click submit and only after it has done so will they send the app to schools. That way your app and DAT scores should come in approximately at the same time.

Please, correct me if I am wrong because I haven't applied before but this is what I have gathered...
