When should I take Step 2 CK?

I did pretty well on step 1 (241) and will be applying for residency in radiology. My top program choices are in california, and I have a faint recollection of hearing that California programs require Step 2 CK scores before reviewing applications. Is this true? And if so, when is the latest I should take the CK? (already passed CS) thanks.
