I am about to finish my 2nd semester of my undergrad and have completed orgo, gen chem, genetics, molecular bio, general bio. What do you think about taking the DAT the summer before Junior Year?

You took 2 semesters orgo, 2 semesters gchem, 2 semesters bio, and two other bio classes in 1 year...
You will probably need to study more on your own because I am assuming those classes were not as difficult as they should be.

if you have a not-so-packed summer, i would take it this summer. if you have enough discipline to set aside time during the summer, you should be good. i took mine after my 2nd year of undergrad (i had taken orgo I and II, gen chem I and II, an intro bio class, and genetics) and although i did have to study a lot more on my own, i thought it was a good idea to do that instead of taking the dat the same summer as applying. but that's just me..

Sorry, I meant I am about to finish my 2nd year, 4th semester. Thanks for your responses

If you think you're ready then I'd say go for it. Just make sure you adequately prepare and don't try to rush it like I did...
