Hi everyone,

I'm in my third year of college going for a Biology degree. I've already completed the subjects that will be on the PCATs, but how long do you think it'll take to prepare for the exam? I'm thinking about taking the test in January, but do you think studying during my winter break will be enough? What are some of the best study guides out there? I've also taken a practice Kaplan PCAT test, and I got a pretty good score for not studying. I don't know how accurate those practice exams are though. Please give me any feedback! Thanks

It's really up to you when you take it and feel comfortable. If you take it in January, that gives you plenty of time to re-take it if needed. I'm assuming you're applying next year? If so the last PCAT you can take is Oct 2008 for most schools. I think getting it done with takes one added pressure off for your application.

Use different sources for your studying, since there is no one guide that is really representative of the test. Do a lot of timed practice also!
