Hey everyone,
How long do you guys wait for an interview invite? And if you do not hear anything, you start studying for the next cycle. Some schools say they interview til March, some til April.

I just do not want to pay another $180 for the DAT, while I am not sure for 2008 cycle.

If you applied early (e.g. May-July) this cycle and you still haven't heard anything then i would start preparing your application now to apply again next year. It is still possible you could recieve an interview and get in this cycle, but assuming you submitted your application early it is a small possibility.

If you applied early for this cycle, and still haven't heard from any schools for an invite, you must either have average DAT scores or Average gpa. (I could be wrong, but that would be my guess). If I were you, I would retake the DAT, an interview does not garuntee an acceptance, so even if you get three interviews, you may not get in. Retaking the DAT and doing better, is easier than raising a lower GPA. Or, I would just prepare for next cycle, apply early and work on your application.

If you can share your stats, people might be able to give you a better advice. At this point, I will have to agree with two posts above mine.

If you applied early this cycle and still have not heard back from schools (not even inteview invites) then you should perhaps start looking into other options for one year. If you applied late, there is a high chance the school just haven't reviewed your application yet. Good luck 🙂

I don't know what the OP's stats are but it is only december so it is a bit too early to give up for this year. I would wait until Feb 1st and then prepare for next year if you still turn up nothing.

yea i'm hoping we have at least some more time before we have to prep for next cycle or throw in the towel completly for this cycle...right?

Applying to more schools (though it's a bit late) can't hurt (of course other than $$$). Some schools have already filled many seats, so you might want to check out www.predents.com or contact individual schools to pick the ones who still have many seats left.
