When to buy materials

Hey guys,

I'm a rising Year 2, and was wonder when is the best time to buy First Aid and the First Aid Q and A. I noticed on Amazon that the new version for 2013 comes out Jan 5th, 2013. Should I wait to buy the First Aid book and the Q and A until then or should I buy them now (while they're each like 15 bucks cheaper)

Also, I wasn't able to find on the website if there's any differences between versions of First Aid.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find a similar thread in my search.

You should buy one now and read, annotate (with errata) and memorize it with classes. When the new one comes out, annotate the new information into the old.

There are differences between versions (sometimes as big as words, sentences, or facts). It becomes easier to spot them if you have read the chapter several times.

I don't know anything about the utility of FA's Q A Book. I bought it but never used it.

Yeah I would say buy a FA copy for MS2 and then get the new version of First Aid in 2013.

You could ask one of the current MS2s for theirs after they take Step 1, then buy the 2013 when it comes out.
