when to call

i want to call a few schools to check up on the status of my application; however, i know that some schools have certain days that they only do this. can anyone think of any and what day? i think ive seen wake forest mentioned...

Speaking of Wake. i jsut called them five minutes to check my file and they told me i had an interview!! wow! do call in peoples!!

Is Wake Forest a school that will tell you if you've been accepted or waitlisted over the phone?

if u call mt. sinai, they have a recording that lets u know what time they prefer u to call. i think its something like monday or wednesday at 2-4. i'm not too sure about this, so u might want to double check with someone else


i also know hopkins has certain days and times too, i just don't know what they are

I was wondering if any of you could tell me what you say when you call. Do you just say, "I am calling to check my application and see if I got an interview" ? or do you make it a little less blunt?

I'd just say "hi, I'm just calling to check the status of my application." At which point they'll ask for your name and AMCAS ID and let you know
