When to fill out FAFSA?

Why do some dental schools emphasize that they want your FAFSA done as soon as possible, while others do not care when you fill it out? Does it really matter when it is completed? Thanks in advance!

Some schools have priority deadlines where they decide what aid to give out to who. After that deadline, funding can become limited as it has already started being disbursed. Every school has different policies/dates, and during interviews they will let you know when their deadlines/priority deadlines are, and different financial aid apps besides FAFSA to fill out.
