When to apply for FAFSA?

Hello, I hope you all are having a good day. I am applying next cycle in 2023. Plan to attend dental school in 2024. Should I apply for FAFSA this year or next year, or both? Currently out of school since I graduated several months ago. Thank you.

Ideally, you need to get accepted first and then receive instructions from financial aid. You could start early (like in November), but it makes no sense until you actually get accepted.

It opens early October. You can put in around 15 possible schools I think, and you can submit it before you get accepted
