When to schedule time for interviews?

I am in the process of choosing my schedule for next year but wanted to take account scheduling potential interviews for Rad / Onc so I wanted to know what months I should take off or schedule more flexible rotations. Thanks!

Interviews are mainly conducted in Dec-Jan with outliers in Nov and Feb.

Also depends on how many TY and prelims you want to do. Those take place earlier. I did Nov/Dec off January EM which was painful. The glut of rad onc interviews take place January. If I had to do it again - something easy/flexible Nov and then off Dec/Jan.
March/April off if you're really smart.

4th year schedules rarely preclude going on residency interviews. If you can't get the exact schedule you want, don't sweat it as most attendings seem to be understanding.
