when to schedule?

is it better to schedule interviews earlier or later, especially if you're particularly interested in that program? for example, if available dates are early nov, mid nov, and early dec, when is the ideal date to choose?

I think if you're desperate to go to a specific program, try to schedule it in the middle of your interviews so you have some experience with interviews but not yet burned out from going to so many.

If you are any one of the "typical" optho applicant and decides to attend 10-15 interviews, you'll be trying your best to fit them all in and go to all of them no matter when you go to them.

Many of the top programs schedule interviews the first weekend in December. You need to try to save this weekend for places you really want to go. By the same token, if one of these big names happens to have an early interview, try to take it so you can keep that weekend open.
