Some schools require extra money be sent directly to the school. I have already submitted my application and I am taking my DAT in two weeks.

I've applied to a few IV league schools and I would like to see how I do on the DAT before sending out the second payment to those individual schools.

If I do worse on the DAT than the average (or what I would like) for IV's...then could I just withdraw my application to them and not send out that second payment? Is this okay? Are they waiting on my second payment?

Intravenous league schools:laugh::laugh:
Sorry, could not resist.

Yes, you can withdraw the application without sending them the check but the thing is that those schools will not review your application until they get the money. At the same time, most schools (I am quite sure ivy league ones too) will not review your application or make any decisions until they get your DAT score. So for you it would probably be better to not send the money and wait, because your app will not be reviewed fully anyways. That way, if you do not do as well as expected on the DAT, you would save some money.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not dying to go to an IV..I really just applied to Harvard! Yeah, there's no reason for me to shell out the money. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being dishonest or anything. I don't know if it's wrong to not pay, even if you want to withdraw. Not trying to burn my bridges..is that how that saying goes?

Hey Zubnaya Feya, I took the ADEA sample test today and got a perfect score on both Ochem and Gchem. Since you did well on the DAT, can you tell me if the online ADEA sample test is similar? DAT in two weeks.

Its OK to not pay, don't worry.

ADEA sample tests were easier than the real thing... Check out the DAT discussion sub forum, they have a lot of info on the DAT there.
