When to sign up for the DAT?

I am thinking of taking the DAT late april or early May. I've already paid the $415 but haven't scheduled through Prometric yet. Also I haven't taken a practice test yet so I don't know exactly where I stand with all of the material.

When is the best time to actually set a date? I've heard some say 1 month ahead of time, others say 3 months. Any input would be appreciated thanks!

Hi Tooth,

You can set the date at any time, you always have the option of changing the date for a fee if you don't feel ready as your test date approaches. If you want to take the DAT late April or early May probably best to set it for May, nothing wrong with have a little extra time to study opposed to scheduling too early and feeling rushed.

I set mine up about a month in advanced... worst case scenario you have to choose the second closest center for the date and time you want
