When to start Ab before culture when to start after?

Some say start Ab before getting culture, some say start after.

What do you guys think?

Generally, cultures are pretty fast to draw, so if you're going to get them, you should do so before you give abx. Exceptions would be when cultures are difficult to draw and the condition is emergent, like meningitis (if you're getting a CT before the LP).

I think you can give atb before you do an LP, and not usually before cultures.
