I apologize if this is redundant but what is considered early/average/late for DO secondaries? I am still wrapping up my MD secondaries but I submitted my DO primary in July and have already had a secondary pulled back from a school because I have been siting on it too long. Does it look bad if I sit on the secondary for ~ 2 months? (Competitive stats for DOs)

Also, in terms of interviews, will we be able to choose a later interview date if we are planning to interview for MDs? Or would it be more beneficial to submit a later secondary to avoid booking DO interviews before MDs? When do DO schools typically interview?

Thank you!!

There's no reason to sit on any secondaries that long. 1-2 wks is all you should really need to complete them. Set time aside and just do them as they come in.

Also, what's the point of doing all your MD interviews before your DO ones? Do them all as they come in. Usually you are given a date and sometimes they accommodate date changes. Wanting to delay interviews is not a reason to delay submitting secondaries. Who says you'll even get so many interviews that you won't be able to balance both the MD and DO ones?

They all overlap. If you get an MD interview at a time when you're scheduled for a DO one, you can always day something came up and ask to reschedule the DO one.
