When to take DAT and when to apply?

hi everyone!!
I am applying for the 2010 cycle and planning on taking the DAT Kaplan class june to july 23 and after that I will take the DAT. However, I am not sure if it will be too late to take it in August and apply to dental schools.
Also, has anyone taken the Kaplan class and if so what do you think of it? Any advice???

Kaplan doesn't work for everyone....you must be highly motivated and dedicated to spending hours a day... check out my DAT breakdown since I used Kaplan online for my studying
