When to take Step II

OK, so I want to take Step II in time for residencies to see the scores during my interviews. So that means I have to take Step II when exactly? Ideas?

I agree that it has to be early, but you could probably push it to november-early december to have the results in by the time rank night occurs.

It seems like it will be hard to sit for step II while trying to pack all the electives in at the first of forth year. What would be the latest date to take step II and still be safe it would get on your ap?
