when to take the OAT

i am a canadian student going into 3rd year undergrad. i'm planning on writing the OAT next fall (fall of 4th year). do you think this is too late? when do people usually take the OAT?

I guess it depends on what schools you are appying to and what is the latest OAT they will accept. I'm applying for 2006 entrance and I took the OAT a couple weeks ago. I think that you should allow enough time to be able to write it twice just in case the first time doesn't go as well as you would like.
