when to take the USMLE step 1

I am in the 5 year program at RCSI, can anyone tell me when to take the USMLE? After year 2 or year 3?

you can take it whenever you want. Most students take it after 3rd year though.

When I was in Cork in a 5 year program most people took it after 3rd year. Cheers,

That's when most people in the 4 year take it.
