How do you know when you should void your score? Sounds like a lot of people are very iffy about their scores, but at what point should you say F-it, I'm voiding.

Obviously running out of time/skipping questions would be a good reason, but if you're feeling especially bad about your responses, is it worth it to void?

Do not trust your post-test instincts, they will always be bad.

The only time I would void is if you completely unanswered 2 whole passages in a section. Otherwise just go with what you have, because no matter what you will feel bad after the exam so it is not a good indicator.

Leaving a passage or more entirely blank.

I would void if*:
1. If AAMC practice tests recently said I wasn't ready.
2. If I knew I was far from at my best the day of the real MCAT. (Example: Had a fever or had something go wrong that I know adversely and substantially impacts me. This involves knowing yourself.)
3. If I happened to get a fair amount of questions on a topic that I have special trouble with compared to other pre-meds. (e.g. If the test was just difficult I would keep my score. If instead, their were many questions on my worst topic, I would void.)

*All of this assumes that it's not the last day the 2014 MCAT is being offered, that I can afford to retake (and don't have to go back to an 80 hour a week job for the next month), etc.

Thanks for the bits of advice. Now I'm going to hope this doesn't come to fruition!
