At least with a P you get course credit.
No Adcom is going to ding you for a P or a W. This is a pernicious pre-med delusion...that somehow these are even worse than an F.

I can only think of it being a prereq where you would W and then retake for a letter because you want to apply to a bunch of schools that wont accept prereqs taken pass fail unless your entire school made everyone go pass fail. If its a random class or upper div, having one P isnt gonna matter.
