When will I get interview invites???

I am submitting my secondaries now, but I am still waiting on a letter of recommendation that will probably be submitted next week (mid-October).

How long after that can I expect to start hearing about interviews?
Does it help if you have competitive scores, or do schools just review applications in the order they are received?
Will the time-line be faster or slower due to the fact that I am applying late?

Please don't tell me I'm stupid for applying so late. I know that and I am already freaking out enough.

I'll assume most of the schools you are applying to are on a rolling cycle for this.

You can expect to hear about interviews two weeks to four+ months from when you're complete. Competitive scores will help a lot for rolling cycles as applications are constantly reviewed regardless of when they were sent in.

Relatively speaking the time-line might be a bit slower with the Winter break coming up in December but it won't be that big of a deal. Just go for it and do your best.
