When will i hear back??

If I submit my AMCAS application and indicate that I will be taking the August MCAT, will it be the standard 4-6 weeks before i hear back, or are they not even going to consider it until they get my MCAT score in October??? Thanks

AMCAS will process the application within 4-6 weeks (usually 2), and then send the app to your designated schools. The schools, in turn, will hold your application until they receive your August scores in October and take it from there.

YOu may get secondaries from some schools before you get your mcat scores, if they automatically send secondaries to everyone. In this case, I would suggest doing the secondaries asap and sending them back. This way, once your MCAT scores are recieved by the schools your file will be complete, and you'll be at an advantage!

I have take the MCAT saturday also, and I have recieved 2ndaries for 14/17 schools I applied to, and several of them screen; the ones I haven't recieved I don't think anyone has recieved yet: Columibia, MSSM, and Emory...

so: yes submit AMCAS
