income tax? True there may be social security and other taxes, but in Florida and Texas, this is limited to 35% of your income.

As the cost of living is astronomically cheaper in South Texas, I will head there after my residency is completed.

I live in Washington state...and we have no state income tax...however this is balanced by ~10% sales tax and ridiculous property taxes. Believe me, they will get you somehow.

The only way to avoid some of this is by living AK...no state income tax or sales tax, and you get paid to live there (AK PFD)...but then again it is Alaska...

However we have one of the highest rates of unisureds in the country, so if you like getting paid for what you do...Yes, we have a lower cost of living, but we make less money.

New Hampshire, South Dakota, Florida, Nevada, Alaska, Wyoming, and Washington all have no state income tax. Texas does have high property taxes, and corporations (even some partnerships) get taxed, so don't think there's an overall net savings. 😉
