Just curious, when you send in an update letter, when does the admissions committee actually read them and take them into account? Suppose this is pre-interview update letter.
I was just wondering about this because each school receives thousands of applications, and even if you send an update, when will they "re-evaluate" your application with this letter? Does someone read the letter right away as they receive them? Or do they just attach it to your application, and review it whenever they meet? I mean, when they meet this time of the year, aren't they trying to discuss applicants who already "interviewed" and their applications?
Sent in an update letter to a couple of schools this past two weeks, just trying to gauge when they will most likely be read.
