hey everyone!

I have been considering careers lately and have thought about perhaps working in a rehabilitation center as an interesting option. When looking at these centers, I was suprised to see that most of them were being run by FP! Why? Isn't a physiatrist much more qualified to work in these centers? Why are the hospitals hiring FPs? Where are all the PM&R docs working? I never see any recruitment ads for them down in the southeast? Is it hard to find a job?

Thanks for the reply!

I would like to live in a smaller town and commute 30 minutes or so to work in a larger city. Would PMR allow this or is it a very frequent home call back to the hospital? Would FP Sports Medicine be a better option for someone wishing to work in a rehab center in a smaller town?
