Where do chain stores get their generics from?

CVS, Duane Reade, Rite Aid, Eckereds, Walgreens, etc all have their generic otc products such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin, etc. The question is where do they get it from? I know they dont manufacture it.

They all have contracts with different generic mfg's. It's just like store brand mac & cheese versus Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
